While in Florida I got up before dawn to catch the good light. While the sunrise wasn't spectacular I was able to catch the starts in the sky and the moon reflecting on the water as dawn crept across the harbour.

While boating around Charlotte Harbour, we spotted a few dolphins in the water. They were quick to appear and disappear so we had to chase them for a bit, but I managed to get a few clear shots.
Recently I visited my parents in Port Charlotte, Florida. Friends of theirs graciously invited us out for a boat ride around the harbour and into some of the canals. At the end of the day we spotted a few dolphins.
The last day of visiting my parents we woke up to a snow storm. These are a few shots from their backyard, and across the road.
The results from a very chilly Boxing Day morning. I was awake really early and decided to head out with my camera to try and catch the sunrise. It turned out to be a cloudy morning and the sun never appeared, however the light reflecting off the couds right before dawn was some spectacular shades of blue, orange and red.
While visiting my parents for the holidays I was greeted with a fresh blanket of snow on Christmas morning. I couldn't resist taking a few hours and exploring with my camera.
On my last night in Vegas I wanted to make sure I caught the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel. After watching a couple of the shows, I found a good vantage point with both the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace in the background.
While in Vegas a couple of friends rented a car and invited me to join them for a trip to Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The scenery was stunning and it's hard to convey how huge, and wide open the area is. The first panorama is four photographs stitched together in post-processing.
As the sun started to set the colours started to change and the desert began to take on a golden hue. EDIT: To see high quality versions of the panoramas, click HERE and HERE. I was out walking the Vegas strip after dinner taking some photos and while I was in the middle of setting up a shot tis young lady struck a pose in front of me. Even though the camera wasn't even pointed at her, she insisted that take her photo and would not move (she may have had a beverage or two by that point in the evening). In an effort to appease her I tilted the camera down and took a quick picture before going back to framing the original photo. This was the result.
