The last day of visiting my parents we woke up to a snow storm. These are a few shots from their backyard, and across the road.

On my last night in Vegas I wanted to make sure I caught the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel. After watching a couple of the shows, I found a good vantage point with both the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace in the background.
I haven't had much of a chance to take photos for the last few months as I had been preparing for my first marathon. Last weekend was the race in Las Vegas, and while I didn't fare so well running I was able to get out with my camera. On the Saturday my friend and I took a day trip out to the Hoover Dam.
It was a little grey and cloudy for most of the trip and with about 15 minutes left before the bus was scheduled to leave the sun peaked out and hit the mountains in the distance, painting them a spectacular gold colour. My aunt was gracious enough to loan me her car one day. I spent the time driving along Conception Bay highway exploring every back road I could find. I finished the day in Brigus, another old, historic fishing village. The Brigus photos are some of my first attempts at HDR photography.
I spent a day walking around St. John's - starting at the top of Signal Hill, around the trail and through The Battery. After winding up downtown, I wandered around for the day, ending up in the small fishing village of Quidi Vidi.
I haven't focused much on photography lately due to other commitments, but now that the warmer weather is here I had to take advantage of it. I got up ridiculously early Saturday morning morning to catch the sunrise by Fifty Point Conservation area. As I was driving there, I thought it was going to be a quiet morning by myself on the beach. Apparently twenty other people had the same idea, as there were already a dozen cars when I pulled in.
I have been interested in practicing long exposures with my neutral density filters and the old piers were perfect for what I had in mind. These are from a day trip into Kingston while on vacation. After driving through Prince Edward County, and across the Glenora Ferry, we spent the afternoon wandering around the downtown core admiring all the old, historic buildings.
My girlfriend and I recently visited my parents in Prince Edward County. We spent an afternoon touring around visiting wineries, a cider house, a couple of provincial parks and finished off with a spectacular sunset at North Beach. I had my first chance for a couple of panorama shots - two photographs 'stitched' together in Photoshop.
I had a meeting at the University of Toronto last week. After I was finished I took the opportunity to wander around the campus (including Philosopher's Walk) and shoot some of the architecture. There are two shots that I couldn't decide if I preferred the colour or sepia so I've included both. (Comments always welcomed!) Colour or sepia?
I spent the afternoon with my father last weekend driving around the backroads of The County looking for some old barns to photograph. This was the result.
